Varsity Football Season Opener – FWA vs. Pope John 23
Tonight the FWA Varsity Football had their season opener against Pope John Paul 23. We had an incredible turnout of both Pope John Paul and FWA fans. It was a fantastic game and your FWA Team played a great game. Also, thank you to Mr. Turner for bringing out the FWA Band and Mrs. Heather Laird for her leadership with our varsity cheerleaders and Jr. Cheer.

It’s Lady Eagles Night!
Come support your Ladies Eagles Volleyball ~ Varsity, Jr. Varsity and Sophomore teams all play today, August 27th! Games begin with our Sophomore team at 4:30 this afternoon – stay for the Jr. Varsity game and then round out your volleyball with our Varsity team who plays at 6:30 p.m.
It’s Eagles Football Night!
After the volleyball games…there’s VARSITY FOOTBALL! Stay for the game against Pope John that starts at 7:30 p.m.! Fun for the whole family at a Eagles HOME football game! YOUR SUPPORT is needed!!

Sophomore Volleyball Team Defeats Brenham Christian Academy
The Sophomore Volleyball Team defeated Brenham Christian Academy in two straight games with scores of 25-10 and 25-5 last evening, August 24th. It was one HOT game, as there was no air conditioning in the gym, but the ladies and the fans overcame the sweltering heat for an awesome victory!!

Sophomore Volleyball takes First in Bellville Faith Academy Tournament
The Sophomore Volleyball Team began tournament play in the Bellville Faith Academy Volleyball Tournament on Thursday, August 19th. This was an extremely competitive tournament featuring 16 private schools from the surrounding area.
For the first match of pool play, the Sophomore Volleyball Team faced the Varsity HCYA Volleyball Team. The lady Eagles put forth an awesome effort, but unfortunately, they lost 13-25 and 17-25. The next match, the girls were again up against the very talented Varsity team of Faith Academy Bellville. The seasoned players on this team proved to be a powerful force and the girls lost 17-25 and 13-25. For the last round of pool play, the Sophomore Volleyball Team was pitted against the Varsity Team at Texas Christian School ,where they were able to achieve their first victory of the night with scores of 25-19 and 25-19.
Bracket Play began on Saturday, August 21st. The Sophomore Team was slotted for the Silver Bracket. The first match paired the Sophomore ladies against the Varsity squad of San Antonio New Life. The match was close, but the lady Eagles won in two straight games with scores of 25-21 and 25-17. With this win, the Sophomore team advanced to the next level of the bracket where they faced the Varsity Conroe Lifestyles. This was an extremely tough team and the ladies were victorious after three tense games with scores of 21-25, 25-15, and 25-15. The third and final championship match for the Silver Bracket paired the Sophomore Volleyball Team against the Varsity squad of Southwest Christian. The Sophomore Volleyball Team was unstoppable at this point and easily won the final match 25-10 and 25-22.
